Fire TV
Is it the Fire TV, or the app you’re opening?
Every service we track is behaving normally right now, so the problem is more likely at your end than theirs. Two questions will narrow it down.
Fixes for the Fire TV itself
Fire TV sticks run hot and fill up, and both show as apps failing to load. Start with the restart shortcut — it takes five seconds.
Try this first
Restart with the remote shortcut
about 1 minute- 1.Hold the Select button and the Play/Pause button together.
- 2.Keep holding for about 5 seconds until the screen goes black.
- 3.Wait for it to come back on its own.
Then 2
Clear the app’s cache
about 3 minutes- 1.Go to Settings, then Applications.
- 2.Choose Manage Installed Applications.
- 3.Select the app that is failing.
- 4.Choose Clear cache. Try the app again before clearing data as well.
Then 3
Free up storage
about 5 minutes- 1.Go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then About, then Storage.
- 2.If less than 500MB is free, that is very likely your problem.
- 3.Uninstall apps you do not use from Settings, then Applications.
Then 4
Check for a software update
about 5 minutes- 1.Go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then About.
- 2.Choose Check for Updates and install anything found.
